Just about a year ago, I noted that this post on Little Details has been getting comments from hapless anons who think it is a forum for discussing what it's like to live with a broken pelvis.
They're still going. The last anonymous comment was made today.
I believe I have previously PMed the owner of the original post to ask if they could friends-lock the entry, but got no response.
And I have a feeling it's only going to get worse. This post is now on the second page of results for "broken pelvis" on Google.

Date: 2011-08-05 07:43 am (UTC)Years later, I got an email, out of the blue, from a lady who thought her husband was poisoning her and wanted my advice. Apparently somebody had archived the whole discussion and she'd found my email address there while looking for poisons info.
The symptoms she described were pretty consistent with long-term arsenic poisoning, including one very specific one (eyes smelling of garlic). So either she really was being poisoned, or she was an attention-seeker who'd done her homework. I recommended she save hair samples and talk to the police about it, and never heard back from her after that.
Vaguely disconcerting!

Date: 2011-08-06 03:34 am (UTC)I feel like I need to be more proactive in asking people to friends-lock questions about illegal stuff, because when it gets onto search engines it can get weird, but on the other hand, I'd want to be able to tell the woman who thinks she's being poisoned with arsenic to go to the police.

Date: 2011-08-06 03:38 am (UTC)Little Details is not the group of people to ask for help with your lovelife. They will probably ask where your lovelife is set, in what time period, and then they will tell you that your lovelife is unrealistic.
