RIP Lady Dog
Jan. 22nd, 2010 11:08 pmMy mom called me tonight to tell me that they had to put their black lab, Lady, down. She wasn't even eight years old yet.
They weren't expecting this. She seemed perfectly healthy until this week. Then they noticed that she had lumps under her skin that grew noticeably by the next day. The vet confirmed that it was cancer, and that there was nothing that they could do except prolong it for a few days; they decided not to.

My stepdad's really broken up about it. I wish I had been there to say goodbye, but at least my mom and stepdad were able to take her to the vet together.
