Shameful confession time.

... I've been drinking Nescafe.

Because I don't want to get dressed and go to the grocery store to buy real coffee. For the past three days.

I do actually have some real coffee beans, but I'm saving them for tomorrow, when I feel I will need some real coffee as an incentive to get out of bed and go to work. Also, I don't particularly feel like the whole COFFEE PROCESS right now. Grind, steep, press - SO MUCH WORK OHMIGOD.

What have I come to.

Hey, you're like, a European person -

Is Nescafe not considered a shameful thing there? Do normal people drink it? I've never met a person who drinks Nescafe regularly here in the USA, although since they sell it someone must.

I'm a European person that avoids talking with people, so I'm probably not an authority. But I'd say it's more of an older people drink. Certainly not something that makes you cool, but shameful is too strong a word.

Anyway, I had a friend who drank that stuff all the time. He made me drink it too when I visited him and I think it tastes really bad, but so does all coffee, to me. I like the smell of coffee, but there it stops.

My shameful confession: I love Nescafé Gold Blend. More shameful: I started drinking it in the first place out of ridiculous fangirliness...I didn't really expect it to be good. :\ Now my mom sends me some for Christmas every year.

I'm drinking the "Clasico" blend. I think it might have an accent over one of those letters - fancy!

I think I bought it because I needed espresso powder for baking and couldn't find any, and thought I'd try it as a substitute. But I never did end up using it in baking and now I'm just drinking it.

To be honest, it's not that bad. It's not really great, either, but it's better than a lot of the coffee some chains (cough starbucks cough) sell.

The exhaustion of the whole COFFEE PROCESS is why I lose three dollars to Dunkin' every morning. However, setting up the cold brew coffee on weekends is a lot easier.
